Campus Basement is the latest addition to my online morning reading routine, because once you read an article on their site, it’s hard not to check back every day.

Let me give you an idea of what to expect:

Campus Basement, an online satirical news source (think of the Onion) with branches at a handful of major universities, is a site everyone should bookmark.

Beginning on the USC campus in early January, the staff is in the vein of what I like to call collective power players, publishing quality writing each morning. They recently hired four new staff writers to bring their total writing staff to six members.

I challenge all of my readers to wake up an extra ten minutes early every morning and read four sites: CelebritySC (naturally), DailyTrojan or Annenberg TV News, the New York Times, and Campus Basement.
